ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Announces Resignation of Michael Consedine as CEO

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ (ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ) announced today that Michael (Mike) F. Consedine is stepping down as the organization's Chief Executive Officer, effective April 30, 2023. Consedine has served as the CEO of the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ since January 2017. 

"On behalf of our members and the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ staff, we are grateful to Mike for all his good work over the past six-plus years and his commitment to the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ and the state-based system of insurance regulation," said ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ President and Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance Director Chlora Lindley-Myers. "We are proud of his many accomplishments, including providing stability and leadership during the pandemic; spearheading efforts to help us develop our State Ahead and State Connected strategic plans; and his unwavering commitment and support of our state-based system in the challenging international area. We wish him the best in his future endeavors."

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ is expecting to appoint an Acting CEO during its Spring National Meeting, which begins next week in Louisville, Kentucky.

As part of our state-based system of insurance regulation in the United States, the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ (ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ) provides expertise, data, and analysis for insurance commissioners to effectively regulate the industry and protect consumers. The U.S. standard-setting organization is governed by the chief insurance regulators from the 50 states, the District of Columbia and five U.S. territories. Through the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ, state insurance regulators establish standards and best practices, conduct peer reviews, and coordinate regulatory oversight. ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ staff supports these efforts and represents the collective views of state regulators domestically and internationally.
