Regulatory Leadership Development
The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ offers two live leadership development events. Both opportunities are open to U.S. state and territory insurance department employees.
Practical Manager Program
Build essential leadership skills in this engaging, in‑person workshop designed for managers, supervisors, and aspiring leaders within U.S. state and territory insurance departments. The Practical Manager Program is available to individual insurance departments upon request. While the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ will not host an in‑person session in Kansas City, MO, in 2026, the program is expected to return in 2027.

- Succession Planning and Talent Development
- Maximizing Productivity
- Communicating with Impact
Regulatory Leadership Forum
The Regulatory Leadership Forum is the advanced ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Education and Training event designed for the highest tier of insurance department leadership. In this invitation-only event, participants explore critical industry topics, engage in meaningful discussions, and learn how to leverage the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ’s extensive resources. The Regulatory Leadership Forum was postponed from 2025 and is now scheduled for June 9–10, 2026.
SPIR candidates: The Regulatory Leadership Forum is no longer required. Instead, completion of the new virtual session, Policy in Practice: Navigating Legislative Change, will fulfill the requirement previously met by participating in the forum. Email invitations will be sent in late March or early April.
