ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Members Discuss U.S. Regulatory Updates, DE&I
ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Members participated on three panels at the Association of Bermuda Insurers and Reinsurers’ (ABIR) 16th Annual International Insurance Regulatory Dialogue in Brussels.
On her panel, Massachusetts Division of Insurance First Deputy Commissioner Rachel Davison discussed recent regulatory updates in the United States, including changes to the group capital calculation and supervisors' efforts on the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ's Climate and Resiliency (EX) Task Force. On his panel, Nebraska Department of Insurance Director Eric Dunning highlighted the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ's ongoing work on cross-border reinsurance.
During the lunch session, ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ President and Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance Director Chlora Lindley-Myers discussed her views on diversity, equity, and inclusion at the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ and the Missouri Department, as well as in the insurance industry more broadly.

As part of our state-based system of insurance regulation in the United States, the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ (ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ) provides expertise, data, and analysis for insurance commissioners to effectively regulate the industry and protect consumers. The U.S. standard-setting organization is governed by the chief insurance regulators from the 50 states, the District of Columbia and five U.S. territories. Through the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ, state insurance regulators establish standards and best practices, conduct peer reviews, and coordinate regulatory oversight. ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ staff supports these efforts and represents the collective views of state regulators domestically and internationally.
